3) Defining the operative DAM plan | ||
In this phase, managements goals are translated into operative and concrete management actions: what needs to be done, where and how. Functions are assigned to the land, species to be used are selected and adaptation measures of land management identified. A preliminary risk evaluation is also done and included in the plan.
Assigning ‘functions’ to the land means to define the functional role that a specific piece of land will have, within the overall DAM Plan. Reflecting the three pillars of the methodology we can assign to the land: economic, environmental and social functions.
