THE ASSOCIATION The Associação de Defesa do Património de Mértola (ADPM) was established in December 1980 and since then its mission is fundamentally tied with economical, social and cultural development of the territories. From the beginning, it has been used as a guide the principles and values who come close to the concept of sustainable development. Is ONG of Environment (precursor of creation of Natural Park Vale do Guadiana) and ONG of Development by their recognized work in Africans countries. It belongs to and cooperates with several networks national and international Platforms and is part of the Portuguese desertification commission.
